Come and join us on Monday 11 December, 7-9pm at Treadwells for the latest workshop from The Wytchery.
This is the first of a series of four workshops focusing on the key elements used in Western Magical traditions – air, fire, water and earth. The use of these can be traced back to the 5th century Greek philosopher Empedocles, who was in turn influenced by Pythagorus, although not much is known about their original use.
We will start with an investigation into the power of air – its meanings, correspondences and some ways to work with this wonderful element of communication. We will start as usual with some energy raising and will experiment with making some incense using various herbs, oils and resins and you’ll get to take away a small pot of your own blend.
Note that we are not making money from the Wytchery, we hope for it to be a purely social endeavour. Our workshops are aimed at witches who have not had much, if any, experience of working within a coven or a magical working group – or even working on your own, if you are new to the craft. If you have some experience but would like to hone your skills, you would also be most welcome to join us. We find we learn new things all the time, even after years of magical practice.
